I know games are planned on being played rain or shine, but who is actually in charge of cancelling games? Is it an agreeance between captains or does Hess make the call or does the owner of the field make the call based on the conditions?
With that said, Jesse, if you happen to see this, can you let us know around 430 ish if the field is gunna be alright to be played on? Looking at the weather from two different sites, I'm getting different answers for the same location lol..go figure so I guess it would help knowing what exactly its like there rather than looking on the web.
Thanks!

Im sure hess's field didnt look like that smart ass..I'm not tryin to talk shit, people nearly got hurt yesterday around home plate and there were some slips on the mound? Maybe some small tarps, bag of sand or an excessible rake would help a little.

the field was fine last time i was up there, i had no idea what was gonna happen when it rained, not much i coulda done about it. ill put some work into it this weekend but honestly this isnt the MLB. my budget doesnt include a field crew so not every game is gonna have perfect conditions

If someone has a tarp for home plate, you can cut out a piece so it doesnt kill the grass and covers the plate...whenever a game is over, someone puts the tarp back on.
