I think I should be atleast in the running for gold glove. I've been pretty dominant this year with my defense

not bashin my own team mate but alex and brian i believe are in that higher running for that award. im at everygame and see every play. (for my team) and for ricky to be selected over brian or alex is kinda far fetched. ricky is a good player, but ive seen him bobble too many balls to make the play at 2nd or make the play at all.....ive seen alex in 1 game make 2 plays that shouldnt have been made. and ive seen brian make a few plays on the mound that were rediculous. i cant say ricky diserves that gold glove. who picks them anyway? ??

Cry baby over stating FACTS that he just said or from him getting injured 5 million times yesterday?
I know I nominate Merrit and Hess Field having way to many illegal scuffed balls. Zac Longo will have my back on that one

Based on the fact that he went down every other play he was involved in yesterday...
And as far as the scuffed ball argument... I never really cared for that rule to begin with but out of my bucket there may have been 2 or 3 wiffle balls from last season that would be considered "illegal" this season... my stance? I paid for them, I'm not just going to toss them away. They'll eventually find their way out of circulation naturally... with out some jerk throwing them into the woods crying about it. But everyone is using the same bucket of balls this year so as far as I'm concerned it's a level playing field.
Not trying to sound like a jackass but if you don't like the wiffle balls I supply, then, please, build your own field ( this is a general statement not targeted at anyone in particular).
The bottom line is it's wiffle ball, it's suppose to be fun... there are a few people in this league who take things way too seriously... I think the league really misses the pirates/nationals/rockies franchise(s).

Then we'll go through all the balls before games and check them. Theyve been there the entire year and every team has been using them. I know BK put in some brand new balls a couple of weeks ago.

Gary you did leave a pretty big welt on the kids shin. He did twist like question mark on his attempt to catch a ball. He's not in shape and he was hurting. Give a nigga a break big man.
I threw them in the woods because they are ILLEGAL!!!!! It's agianst the rules. I didn't cry. I said to my self " Why the fuck are these scuffed balls in this bucket" Maybe next time I'll just call the person who uses them a cheater and bitch that way. I think taking my frustration out on a few balls that aren't legal weather you like the rule or not is better then saying "hey gary your a fucking cheater" "I protest the game" Catch my drift? Thats what a baby or asshole would have done. You try being one of the best pitchers in the league then not be able to shut down a team with 0 wins and see how you feel bro. You wouldn't be human if that didn't piss you off.
As for the balls thing I've just recently orderd a shit load of balls from ebay. There going to be for the Indians only. I tryed avoiding that this season but I'm sick of loseing. I guess that means I'm taking it to serious. The Indians didnt have one team practice this season, we don't have baseball jerseys for uniforms, we don't have fields in our back yards, we drink during before and after games, were always laughing and busting on eachother and other teams, ( most of the time you guys don't hear it). I guess because the Mets don't take it serious is why they suck? Gary I like you dude, I like pretty much everyone in this league but you just called me and my team out. I'm not going to play nice anymore.
Hess that's a great idea. I know you can throw any type of ball and make it do what you want. Like I said in the other posts the Mets and Braves would of won those games regardless of the balls. I just think if we make a rule we should stick by it.

BK I honestly didn't even know you threw any balls into the woods... nor was I referring to you're team when I said some people take this game too seriously. What I was getting at though is that I've taken money out of my own pocket, and a shitload of time to put this field up and make sure that it's supplied with everything it needs when there is a game here. I'm not just going to throw a wiffle ball away because it's suddenly deemed illegal after the fact. I work my ass off for everything I have, and I know I'm not the only one, but as far as I'm concerned when someone just throws a ball into the woods (when it quite likely not to be found again) I feel as if you're taking money out of my pocket and tossing it... because essentially that's whats happening.
I'm not saying that you don't have any reason to be frustrated, I'm sure that this season hasn't gone for you the way you had hoped or expected... but you guys have the talent on your roster to turn things around... and maybe we do suck because we don't take it seriously enough, I believe we have more talent on our roster then our record shows... we've also had some close games, and key situations (like bases loaded no outs) where we failed to come through. It is what it is, I'm just trying to have a good time win or lose.
The main reason why I have an issue with the scuffed ball rule is that it doesn't effect everybody equally, the guys who can throw the ball harder won't be effected nearly as much as people who need the extra air resistance that scuffing allows to help move the ball. IDK, I just kind of think that maybe there should have been a one season grace period if this is the direction the league wants to go because it'll take a little while to be able to have naturally scuffed balls. Maybe Hess or Zeh can clear up for me whats a legal way to break a ball in (other then game use)? What are the illegal ways? (other than the obvious sandpaper).
As far as Gallo is concerned... I grew up with the kid, I'm just joking around, and as I've stated I hope he has a quick recovery. But he slid into me and my shin it a little banged up as well. Although he also did the same thing when Curtin was on third so it probably did hurt him more. I'm more worried about his back, back injuries are the worse.
BK I wasn't calling you, or your team out, sorry for the confusion.

It's all good man. I do get offended when people say our team takes it too serious. We don't like loseing but theres no way we take it any more serious then most teams in the league. I'm sure we take it more serious then some but none of us dwell on the league. We literally all like the sport and enjoy playing it but see it just as that. I know you and Ant go way back so I should of known you were busting on him. Ant can be controversial with his mouth but I would believe you know that better then anyone else in the league. That was my bad. Who ever told you I threw the balls in the wood like a baby can go fuck them selves though, lol. I know you put money into the league, more then me but i have put my fair share in. The Indians have always paid on time and braught a lot of bats and balls to the fields. About the scuffed thing, I would love to go back to scuffing. I take a screw or a nail and cut the shit out of them. It makes my slider turn into a slider/riser. I dominated the Cards literally almost threw a perfect game vs the best line up. When the balls are totally mixed up is when I have problems. I need the balls to be in the same condition for me to throw strikes. Theres lots of ways to scuff the balls though. You can just go to your drive way and scape them along it. I never liked the sandpaper balls. It def makes the balls move more then a naturally scuffed ball. I think we should use some league money and buy new balls because the playoffs are coming soon. Lets get them broken in. I took that some people miss the pirates, nationals, and rockies teams as we need teams like that instead of the Indians. I guess you didn't mean that but thats how I took it. Just to let you know that was pretty much the same core of players and I've sort of always had a problem when we played them. We play the Nationals in 09 and T.O starts calling out what balls I'm throwing. That was fine till the next season. We play the Rockies in the Series and Alex calls what ball T.O is throwing and calls it bush league? Once that hypocritetcal statement happened it turned into the biggest shit talking series I've ever been apart of. Bats were thrown towards my familly. I like shit talking but it went to far from both teams. I'm not trying to call them out but that's never happened to us not even when we played the Braves and Alex refused to slap hands with them after we lost in 09 or when Guido and Geroge got into it. I wish the Rockies were still around. I wanted revenge and the more teams the better for the league, I'm just simply trying say watch out what you wish for. Also I think with out the Indians the league would of been in really rough shape this season. Were having a terrible year for our standards but we have played the Braves, Cards, and Sox to very close games. If we can play anything like we did last season the playoffs should be great in the hess league.
Gary our beef is over as far as im concernd. When it comes to beef give me A1 sauce

I never had any beef with you man... I understand that you're frustrated, rightfully so. Your season hasn't gone quite the way you, or anyone has thought it would have. I thought before the season started that we'd at least be able to sniff .500 this season, but we haven't been able to show any consistency, and this team hasn't panned out the way I had hoped when I put it together. So I might have to try and make some big changes this off-season.
Anyway, I hope you guys do figure it out and beat the Braves... they've won enough in this leagues short history. I'll be rooting for anyone to win it all except the Braves and Cards. If for no other reason then I enjoy rooting for the underdogs... The Braves and Cards are kind of like the Yanks and Red Sox...and I can't stand either of those teams.
I'm really rooting for a Mets/Tigers Championship Series though...
